Last Saturday I joined some of the other members of the Capital Alliance of Young Professionals (CAYP) to help out the Habitat for Humanity. We painted the entire interior of a new house in Albany, and I captured some footage of it. After I get some interviews, I’ll put together a video of the day. I look forward to future volunteering.

In the OR
Last week I spent some time in the operating room for surgeries. Fortunately I was there to record video rather than needing to undergo any operations myself. It’s really something to think about how the quality of life for those patients will completely change for the better. It’s also reassuring that I now know for sure that I can witness the sights, sounds, and smells of surgery without feeling lightheaded :-).

Saratoga PLAN at Foster Sheep Farm
On Sunday I filmed Saratoga PLAN’s announcement that the Foster Sheep Farm has been permanently conserved and also got footage of the farm’s annual Shearing Day. It was fun to shoot the event and look forward to editing the video,.

SCA Saratoga Vikings
As I was about to leave Congress Park after testing out some new equipment last spring, I came across some viking themed members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). I asked them if I could shoot some footage of them and they happily obliged. Here’s a short video I made from the footage that’s a little rough around the edges, but gives a glimpse of what the SCA is about. Thank you “Samoan” for the interview and all of the other vikings.

Recently I’ve resumed my role as the assistant editor for the documentary, Comedy Warriors.
What a long, strange trip its been
Last week’s shoot at Skidmore College was very different from what I’m used to. Here’s a short clip to show what I’m talking about.
Back on Campus
I’m about halfway through a week’s worth of shooting back at my alma mater. The campus hasn’t changed that much since I attended and neither has the boldness of the squirrels that reside on it. While typical squirrels get antsy when humans get near them, people can walk right up to the ones on campus and touch them.
PBMC Highlights
A few months ago I helped shoot a corporate video for the Peconic Bay Medical Center, on Long Island, New York. Here is a compilation of some of the clips that I shot over those couple of days.
